When we asked our customers what kind of chocolate they enjoy the most, we were so surprised to hear some say they absolutely love jaffa! With such high quality milk couverture as our base product, and a uniquely fine orange chocolate based on cocoa butter-rich couverture, we felt jaffa would be an easy addition to our Rok Blo range! Sweet orange
Can you believe oranges are actually a hybrid of the pomelo and the mandarin? Orange trees are the most cultivated tree in the world! Its fruit, the humble sweet orange can be eaten fresh or processed for its juice and peel. In 2019, over 79 million tonnes of oranges were grown worldwide, with Brazil being the largest producer!
Large scale production of oranges began in Iberia in the 10th century, with the sweet orange being introduced in Italy in the 15th century. It was quickly adopted as an edible fruit, with orangeries grown at the Palace of Versailles in France.
Orange Couverture
Orange couverture is made from white Belgian chocolate and has a creamy, caramelly sweet taste. It has additional cocoa cutter added to make it an incredibly smooth texture.
Our rich milk chocolate sources from the rarest and most exclusive cocoa beans, roasted in the entire shell to protect the delicate aromas and yield a more intense, complex cocoa flavour.
These two ingredients, when combined, produce the classic choc-orange taste known as jaffa, a flavour combination that is hardly 100 years old. We are pleased to say, this permutation of a classic favourite has a cleaner mouth feel – you won’t end up with coated teeth when you eat Jaffa Blox.
